The Toolbox for Minecraft PE alternative that works on servers and consoles
Toolbox for Minecraft: PE was the go-to companion app for Pocket Edition for years. Its developers announced its closure in early 2025, and the apps carrying the name on stores today are unrelated clones. If you used Toolbox for X-ray, fly, or quick item access, here is what changes when you move to Lunar Proxy.
The main difference: a proxy, not a patch
Toolbox worked by patching the Minecraft app on your Android device. That is why it only ran on Android, why it needed a new build for every Minecraft version, and why it never touched consoles. Lunar is a separate app that sits between your device and the server. Minecraft is never modified, which is what lets Lunar run on iOS, and lets an Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch join through your phone.

Toolbox column describes the original app before its closure. If you mainly edited single-player worlds, Lunar is not a replacement for that part.
